Privacy policy.

Who we are

CforChords Music Academy, No. 7, DM Street, 4th Cross, Halasuru, Bengaluru 560008. Email cforchordsmusicstudio@gmail.com, phone +91 78298 37099. We decide how your personal data is used, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

This website has no forms and no accounts. We only receive information when you contact us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email. That is usually: your name and phone number, the student's name and age, the course, your area, home or online, and a preferred time.

Once lessons start, we keep attendance and progress notes. We do not collect payment card details on this website.

Why we use it

• To reply to you and check whether a teacher can come to your area.
• To schedule lessons, and share progress.
• To organise showcases such as Tarang, if you want to take part.

We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Children

If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must contact us and give consent for the student's data to be used. We do not track children or use their data for advertising.

We only publish photos or videos of a student, on this website or on our social media, with written consent from a parent or guardian. You can withdraw that consent at any time and we will remove them within 7 days.

Who we share it with

Only the teacher assigned to the student. Conversations you start on WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

If you enquire but don't enrol, we delete your details after 12 months. For enrolled students, we keep records while lessons continue and for 12 months afterwards.

This website

We set no cookies of our own, and there is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Fonts are served from our own site.

Our Instagram reels play in Instagram's own player, embedded on the page. Those load from Instagram when you scroll to them, which means Instagram can see the visit and may set its own cookies. Instagram's privacy policy applies to that. If you would rather not load them, you can block third-party content in your browser; the rest of the site works exactly the same. Links to WhatsApp, Instagram and YouTube take you to those services.

Messages from us

We only message you about your enquiry or your lessons. If we ever send updates such as showcase dates, reply STOP and we won't message you again.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Email cforchordsmusicstudio@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
